Helping You to Get Moving Again!
About Gulf Harbour Physiotherapy
Gulf Harbour Physiotherapy opened in March 2016, and is dedicated to helping the Gulf Harbour community get back to the activites they love to do.
My name is Fiona Anson, and I am the Physiotherapist at Gulf Harbour Physiotherapy. I graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2002, and started working in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinics. I have over the years been involved in numerous sports teams including Rugby Union, Rugby League, Gymnastics, and Aerobics Gymsports. I was involved in a variety of sports in my school years, which helps me to use my experience to help our developing athletes.
I have also worked in Retirement Villages as a Physiotherapist, helping the older generations recover from hip, and knee replacements, or just general aches and pains. This is something I have really enjoyed, and look forward to helping you recover from any joint surgery, injuries, or other aches and pains, faster.
Four years ago, I moved with my family to Whangaparaoa, from Pakuranga in Auckland. We love it up here, and have really settled into this amazing community. We enjoy the going to the beach, walking up around Shakespear Park, and getting out to the local markets.
The move to Whangaparaoa also saw me upskill, and complete training to become a Qualified Pilates Instructor. This is a strength I now bring to my Physiotherapy Consultations, and always consider the strength of the core stabilisers, and the importance of their role in injury recovery.
